Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for sound insulation and impact protection from an open rotor engine.SOLUTION: An aircraft (100) includes: a fuselage (102) including a nose (104), a tail (106), a hollow, and an elongate body (108) extending therebetween; a wing (110) extending laterally away from the fuselage, the wing including a leading edge (114) in a direction (116) of motion of the aircraft during normal flight and a trailing edge (118) on an opposing edge of the wing, and an engine (120) configured to drive a bladed rotatable member (122), the engine coupled to at least one of the wing and the fuselage.
