Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a molded body which keeps a heated molding material with high precision, and subjects the molding material to compression molding to manufacture a molded body.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for manufacturing a molded body that includes mounting a molding material, which contains a carbon fiber having a weight average fiber length of 1 mm or more and 100 mm or less and a thermoplastic resin and has a carbon fiber volume ratio of 10% or more, on a support having an aperture, heating the molding material, transferring the heated molding material on a molding die while keeping the molding material with an automatic transferring device, and subjecting the molding material to compression molding to manufacture a molded body, where the automatic transferring device holds the heated molding material based on a processing result of an image captured with a camera. However, a distance (end dropping distance) in which the heated molding material drops from the end of the support by heating and softening is 100 mm or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】加熱されて成形材料を精度よく保持して、圧縮成形し、成形体を製造する方法を提供する。【解決手段】重量平均繊維長1mm以上100mm以下の炭素繊維と熱可塑性樹脂とを含み、炭素繊維体積割合が10%以上である成形材料を、開孔部を備える支持体に載置して加熱し、加熱された成形材料を、自動移載装置によって保持して成形型へ移載し、圧縮成形して成形体を製造する方法であって、自動移載装置は、前記加熱された成形材料を、カメラにより撮影された画像の処理結果に基づいて、成形材料を保持する、成形体の製造方法。ただし、前記加熱された成形材料が、加熱軟化によって、支持体の端部から落下する距離(端部落下距離)が100mm以下である。【選択図】図2 |
