Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift lever device suitable for reducing the ratio of a rotational stroke amount to a rod stroke amount.SOLUTION: A shift lever device comprises: a hollow knob 28 provided in a distal end part of a lever body; a shift button 30 rotatably fitted to the knob 28; and a rod 32 inserted into the lever body. The shift button 30 has a contact surface 30c extending in a direction away from a rotary shaft 30a of the shift button 30 and coming into contact with an upper end part of the rod 32 to lower the rod 32 when the shift button 30 rotates with respect to the knob 28. When a direction orthogonal to an axial direction Z of the rotary shaft 30a in a plane orthogonal to an axis CL1 of the rod 32 is defined as a reference direction X, and a tangential line on a plane orthogonal to the rotary shaft 30a in a contact point between the contact surface 30c and the rod 32 is defined as a reference tangential line Lct, the rotation range of the shift button 30 is set so as to pass through a position, where the reference tangential line Lct is parallel to the reference direction X, in the middle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 【課題】回動ストローク量のロッドストローク量に対する割合を小さくするのに適したシフトレバー装置を提供する。【解決手段】レバー本体と、レバー本体の先端部に設けられる中空のノブ28と、ノブ28に対して回動可能に取り付けられるシフトボタン30と、レバー本体内に挿通されるロッド32と、を備え、シフトボタン30は、シフトボタン30の回動軸30aから離れる方向に延在し、ノブ28に対してシフトボタン30が回動したときに、ロッド32の上端部と接触してロッド32を下降させる接触面30cを有し、ロッド32の軸線CL1と直交する面において回動軸30aの軸線方向Zと直交する方向を基準方向Xとし、接触面30cとロッド32との接点における接線のうち回動軸30aと直交する面上にある接線を基準接線Lctとしたとき、シフトボタン30の回動範囲は、基準方向Xに対して基準接線Lctが平行となる位置を途中で通るように設定される。【選択図】図5
