Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method and device which can reduce the concentration of hydrogen fluoride included in exhaust gas and lighten a load of exhaust gas processing in thermal decomposition of a lithium ion battery.SOLUTION: Disclosed are a thermal decomposition processing method and device for a lithium ion battery. The method comprises: a step for thermally decomposing a lithium ion battery; a step for fracturing a thermal decomposition product; a step for classifying resultant debris into a fine grain substance and a coarse grain substance; and a returning step for returning the classified fine grain substance to the thermal decomposing step. In the thermal decomposing step, lithium carbonate included in the returned fine grain substance is reacted with hydrogen fluoride resulting from the thermal decomposition of a fluorine compound included in the battery to produce lithium fluoride, thereby reducing the concentration of hydrogen fluoride in exhaust gas.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】リチウムイオン電池の熱分解において、排ガスに含まれるフッ化水素濃度を低減して、排ガス処理の負担を軽減する処理方法および処理装置を提供する。【解決手段】リチウムイオン電池を熱分解する工程と、熱分解物を破砕する工程、破砕物を細粒物と粗粒物に分別する工程と、分別した細粒物を上記熱分解工程に戻す返送工程とを有し、該熱分解工程において、返送された細粒物に含まれる炭酸リチウムと、上記電池に含まれるフッ素化合物の熱分解によって生じたフッ化水素を反応させてフッ化リチウムを生成させることで、排ガスのフッ化水素濃度を減少させることを特徴とするリチウムイオン電池の熱分解処理方法、および熱分解処理装置。【選択図】図1
