Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a MRF device and joy stick device, capable of directly using a yield stress resistance occurring when a magnetic field is applied to a magnetic viscous fluid in spite of a simple structure to appropriately control the viscosity of the magnetic viscous fluid.SOLUTION: A MRF device X comprises a cylinder 1 made of a magnetic material and a piston 2 relatively movable to the cylinder 1. The piston 2 comprises: a shaft 21; a coil 22 having an inner diameter larger than the outer diameter of the shaft 21; and a yoke 23 arranged in the radial direction W of the shaft 21 between the shaft 21 and the coil 22 and arranged at a position sandwiching the coil 22 in the axial direction H of the shaft 21. A magnetic viscous fluid 3 is arranged in a space S between the outer peripheral surfaces 234b and 235b of yoke projection parts 234 and 235, and the inner peripheral surface 1a of the cylinder 1 in the radial direction W of the shaft 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】簡単な構造でありながら、磁気粘性流体に磁場を印加させた場合に生じる降伏応力抵抗を直接利用して、磁気粘性流体の粘度調整を適切に行うことが可能なMRFデバイス、及びジョイスティック装置を提供する。【解決手段】磁性体のシリンダ1と、シリンダ1に対して相対移動可能なピストン2とを備えたMRFデバイスXである。ピストン2として、シャフト21と、シャフト21の外径よりも大きい内径を有するコイル22と、シャフト21の径方向Wにおいてシャフト21とコイル22の間に配置され、且つ、シャフト21の軸方向Hにおいてコイル22を挟む位置に配置されたヨーク23とを備えたものを適用し、シャフト21の径方向Wにおけるヨーク突出部234、235の外周面234b、235bとシリンダ1の内周面1aの隙間Sに磁気粘性流体3を配置する。【選択図】図3 |
