PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the image quality of a display image by arranging a light source part and a scanning part at appropriate positions.SOLUTION: An image display device comprises: a light source part including a light source that outputs light constituting an image and a cooling element that cools the light source; and a scanning part that scans light. The light source part is provided at one end in the long side direction of the image display device, and the scanning part is provided at the other end in the long side direction.
