Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image projection device that can satisfactorily cool a light emitting part of a light source even if the device is downsized.SOLUTION: A body housing comprises: an intake-side lateral surface, such as a right-side sheet metal part that includes an intake port; and an exhaust-side lateral surface that faces the intake-side lateral surface and includes an exhaust port. The body housing has an optical engine part 100 disposed on the intake side and a light source disposed on the exhaust side to radiate light toward the intake side. The body housing is further provided with an air channel that takes air inside the body housing from a portion closer to the exhaust side than a reflector of the light source, causes the air to flow toward the intake side, and subsequently causes the air to flow to a light emitting part disposed inside the reflector.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 31 【課題】装置を小型化しても、光源の発光部を良好に冷却することができる画像投写装置を提供する。【解決手段】本体筐体には、吸気口を有する右側板金部などの吸気側側面と、この吸気側側面に対向し、排気口を有する排気側側面とを有している。本体筐体の吸気側には、光学エンジン部100が配設されており、排気側には、吸気側に向けて光を照射するように光源が配設されている。そして、光源のリフレクタよりも排気側から本体筐体内に空気を取り入れ、吸気側へ向けて流した後、リフレクタ内に配設された発光部へ流す空気の流路が設けられている。【選択図】図31
