Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas circuit breaker which has a bidirectional drive mechanism capable of corresponding to a different specification of an input time in the same operation device.SOLUTION: In a gas circuit breaker, a driving side electrode and a driven side electrode are oppositely arranged in a sealed tank, the driving side electrode includes a driving side main electrode and a driving side arc electrode, the driven side electrode includes a driven side main electrode and a driven side arc electrode 5, the driving side arc electrode is connected to an operation device, and a bidirectional drive mechanism 10 having a driving side connection rod 11 receiving a driving force from the driving side electrode and a driven side connection rod 13 connected to the driven side arc electrode 5 corresponding to the operation of the driving side connection rod 11 is included. The driving side connection rod 11 or the driven side connection rod 13 is constructed by dividing into at least two parts.
