Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembling method for an optical module (optical receiver) such that even if an optical plane is inclined to a predetermined optical axis, the optical plane can have its angle easily adjusted.SOLUTION: An assembling method is an assembling method for an optical module comprising a light input port fitted to one end face of an enclosure, and an optical component arranged in the enclosure and having an optical plane having a predetermined angle other than 0° and 90° to an optical axis of the light input port. The method includes the steps of: mounting an alignment jig 60, having a pair of mutually parallel surfaces 61, 62 and a reference surface 63 at a predetermined angle θ to the surface 61, on an alignment rotary stage 70 while pressing the surface 61 against a mounting reference surface 71 provided on the alignment rotary stage 70; rotating the alignment rotary stage 70 to set the reference surface 63 in a predetermined direction; mounting an enclosure on the alignment rotary stage 70 instead of the alignment jig 60; and arranging an optical component in the enclosure with the optical surface in the predetermined direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
