PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a genetic testing apparatus and the like capable of discriminating whether control of a rotating body is correctly performed without an increase in cost.SOLUTION: The genetic testing apparatus comprises: a mounting section for mounting a cartridge for storing a reagent necessary for amplifying a nucleic acid; a rotating body having the mounting section and capable of changing a position of the cartridge; a heater for heating the cartridge; a detector for detecting information corresponding to the amount of the nucleic acid; and a control section for controlling the rotating body.
