PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device capable of keeping a clearance between a light source disposed in a state of facing an end face of a light guide plate and the end face of the light guide plate with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A lighting device includes a light guide plate 2, a light source 6 disposed in a state of facing an end face of the light guide plate 2 and emitting light toward the end face, and a base plate 7 on which the light source 6 is mounted. The light guide plate 2 is provided with a projecting portion 2f projecting from the end face to a base plate 7 side and kept into contact with the base plate 7, and a clearance corresponding to a projecting amount of the projecting portion 2f from the end face of the light guide plate 2 can be kept between the end face of the light guide plate 2 and the light source 6.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9 【課題】導光板の端面に臨むように配置される光源と導光板の端面との隙間を精度良く保つことが可能な照明装置を提供する。【解決手段】この照明装置は、導光板２と、導光板２の端面に臨むように配置され端面に向かって光を射出する光源６と、光源６が実装される基板７とを備えている。導光板２には、端面から基板７側に突出して基板７に当接する突起部２ｆが形成されており、導光板２の端面からの突起部２ｆの突出量に応じた隙間を導光板２の端面と光源６との間で保つことが可能となっている。【選択図】図９
