PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device etc., for determining a feeling of spatial absence of a person or animal from fluctuations in a space even in a room of relatively low airtightness to the exterior.SOLUTION: A device has: atmospheric pressure difference value calculating means which has an atmospheric pressure sensor and a temperature/humidity (atmospheric temperature and/or humidity) sensor and calculates an atmospheric pressure difference value as a difference value of atmospheric pressure varying with time; reference temperature/humidity acquiring means of acquiring reference temperature/humidity of the exterior from an external device; temperature/humidity correlation value calculating means of calculating a correlation value between measured temperature/humidity and reference temperature/humidity; and absence feeling determining means of determining that spatial presence of a person or animal is felt when the absolute value of the atmospheric pressure difference value is equal to or lower than a first predetermined condition and the correlation value is equal to or larger than a second predetermined condition. The atmospheric pressure difference value is calculated using a difference method based upon, for example, an (n)th-story center difference method or edge extraction filter method.
