Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source cooling device that can reduce a decrease in the volume of air when the air in a duct is collected to an upper part, and an image projection part including the light source cooling device.SOLUTION: A light source cooling device 70 comprises a duct 64 through which an air flows, and causes the air in the duct to flow to a light emitting part 201c of a light source, such as a discharge tube 201 to cool the light source. Inside the duct, a plate-like member, such as a grating member 71 including a plurality of through holes for bending the air upward and partitioning the inside of the duct into an upstream side and a downstream side in an air-flowing direction, is provided such that it rotates when being inverted upside down.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9 【課題】ダクト内の空気を上方に集めた場合の風量の低下を低減させることが可能となる光源冷却装置および画像投写装置を提供する。【解決手段】光源冷却装置70は、空気が流れるダクト64を備え、ダクト内の空気を放電管201などの光源の発光部201cへ流して、光源を冷却する。このダクト内には、空気を上方へ曲げるための貫通孔を複数有し、ダクト内を空気流れ方向上流側と下流側とに仕切る格子部材71などの板状部材が、天地逆転されたとき回転するように設けられている。【選択図】図9
