Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that makes uniform, with a soaking roller, temperature distribution in the direction of a rotation shaft of a fixing rotor and of a pressure rotor, and reduces re-transfer of a mixture of a toner and paper powder from the soaking roller to the pressure rotor without causing an increase in size and manufacturing cost of the device, even when the pressure rotor and the soaking roller remain in contact for a long period.SOLUTION: A rectangular cross sectional and spiral groove 73 is formed in a surface of a soaking roller 7a. When the soaking roller 7a is brought into contact with a pressure roller 5, the groove 73 portion becomes a low-pressure portion at a pressure less than a predetermined pressure and the other portion becomes a high-pressure portion at a pressure equal to or higher than the predetermined pressure. At a contact part of the pressure roller 5 and soaking roller 7a, the high-pressure portion and low-pressure portion are formed alternately in the direction of a rotation shaft. The positions of the high-pressure portion and the low-pressure portion move in the axial direction in association with the rotation of the soaking roller 7a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】定着回転体及び加圧回転体における回転軸方向の温度分布を、均熱ローラによって均一化する定着装置において、装置の大型化や製造コストの上昇を招くことなく、また加圧回転体と均熱ローラとが長時間接触した場合であっても、均熱ローラから加圧回転体へのトナーや紙粉などの混合物の再転移を軽減する。【解決手段】均熱ローラ7aの表面に断面矩形状で螺旋状の溝73を形成する。均熱ローラ7aが加圧ローラ5に接触する際に溝73の部分が所定圧未満の低圧部分となり、それ以外の部分が所定圧以上の高圧部分となる。加圧ローラ5と均熱ローラ7aの接触部では回転軸方向において高圧部分と低圧部分とが交互に形成される。そして、均熱ローラ7aの回転に伴って高圧部分と低圧部分の位置が軸方向に移動する。【選択図】図3 |
