PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring tape that can ensure high accuracy of length measurement to improve usability and convenience for many purposes and modes of use and expand the usable range (applicable range) to cover diverse purposes and modes of use.SOLUTION: A measuring tape is equipped with a tip unit Us having: a supporting block part 3 that is fitted to a tip 2s of a scale part 2 and the position of a tip face 3f (flat face Ff) is set to the zero position, namely a zero scale Po; and an engaging block part 4, the entirety of which has an L shape formed of a fitting part 4c and an engaging part 4s, and in which the fitting part 4c is fitted to the supporting block part 3 to permit displacement to at least a first position X1 and a second position X2 and so formed that an engaging face 4ss positioned behind the position of the flat face Ff when displaced to the first position X1 and to match a position Xc in a front/back direction Dx of the flat face Ff oriented to the scale part 2 in the engaging part 4s when displaced to the second position X2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】寸法測定に対する高い測定精度を確保し、様々な用途や使用態様における使い勝手や利便性を高めるとともに、使用可能範囲（適用可能範囲）を幅広い用途や使用態様まで拡大して汎用性を高める巻尺を提供する。【解決手段】スケール部２の先端部２ｓに取付け、先端面３ｆ（平坦面Ｆｆ）の位置をゼロ目盛Ｐｏとなるゼロ位置に設定した支持ブロック部３と、取付部４ｃ及び係止部４ｓにより全体をＬ形に形成し、取付部４ｃを支持ブロック部３に対して少なくとも第一の位置Ｘ１と第二の位置Ｘ２へ変位可能に取付けるとともに、第一の位置Ｘ１へ変位させた際に平坦面Ｆｆの位置よりも後方に位置し、第二の位置Ｘ２へ変位させた際に係止部４ｓにおけるスケール部２側を向いた係止面４ｓｓが平坦面Ｆｆの前後方向Ｄｘ位置Ｘｃと一致するように形成した係止ブロック部４とを有する先端ユニットＵｓを備える。【選択図】図１
