Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device for a diesel engine and a diesel engine system that can inhibit clogging of a diesel oxidation catalyst when an exhaust flow rate is small.SOLUTION: An exhaust emission control device 10 for a diesel engine includes: a baffle plate 30; and a diesel oxidation catalyst 40 disposed downstream of the baffle plate. In the exhaust emission control device for the diesel engine, the baffle plate has an opening portion 34 through which exhaust gas passes and has a structure that can change an area of the opening portion. The exhaust emission control device further includes a drive mechanism for driving the baffle plate so that the area of the opening portion of the baffle plate is reduced when an exhaust flow rate flowing into the baffle plate 30 is relatively small compared to when the exhaust flow rate is relatively large.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
