Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detection device for a game machine in which a movable member for the game machine can be detected by two detection means in a predetermined area of 5 or more.SOLUTION: A position detection device for a game machine includes first detection means 17d and second detection means 17e of a binary output type. Predetermined areas of 5 or more comprising a reference area, one side limit area, other side limit area, one side halfway area, and other side halfway area are set as an area for detecting a movable member 17c for the game machine. In each area, any one among 4-detection patterns A, B, C, D comprising combination of output results of the first detection means 17d and the second detection means 17e is assigned, and at least one detection pattern is overlapped and assigned in multiple areas. A detection pattern in another area reaching the time when the movable member 17c for the game machine is moved to the safety direction from each area where the same detection pattern is overlapped and assigned is prevented from being overlapped, and thereby the area of the movable member 17c for the game machine is enabled to determine integrally.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13 【課題】2つの検知手段によって遊技機用可動部材を5以上の所定領域で検出できるようにする。【解決手段】遊技機用位置検出装置を、二値出力式の第一検知手段17d及び第二検知手段17eを備えたものとする。遊技機用可動部材17cを検出する領域としては、基準領域、一側限界領域、他側限界領域、一側中途領域及び他側中途領域を含む5以上の所定領域を設定する。各領域には、第一検知手段17d及び第二検知手段17eの出力結果の組み合わせからなる最大4つの検出パターンA,B,C,Dのうちいずれかを割り当て、少なくとも1つの検出パターンを複数の領域において重複して割り当てる。同じ検出パターンが重複して割り当てられたそれぞれの領域から遊技機用可動部材17cを安全方向に移動させたときに達する別の領域における検出パターンを重複しないようにしたことによって、遊技機用可動部材17cの領域を一義的に判別できるようにした。【選択図】図13
