Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that can be reduced in power consumption more while canceling an influence due to variance in threshold voltage of a drive transistor.SOLUTION: A display element includes a current drive type light emission part, a capacity part including a first capacitor and a second capacitor, an n-channel type drive transistor which supplies a current corresponding to the voltage across the capacity part to the light emission part, and a first switching transistor which writes a video signal voltage to the capacity part. The video signal voltage is written to the second capacitor through the first switching transistor in a conducting state while the first capacitor holds a voltage corresponding to the threshold voltage of the drive transistor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】駆動トランジスタの閾値電圧のバラつきによる影響をキャンセルしつつ、より一層消費電力を低減することができる表示装置を提供する。【解決手段】表示素子は、電流駆動型の発光部と、第1キャパシタ及び第2キャパシタを含む容量部と、容量部が保持した電圧に応じた電流を発光部に流すnチャネル型の駆動トランジスタと、容量部に映像信号電圧を書き込む第1スイッチングトランジスタとを含んでいる。駆動トランジスタの閾値電圧に応じた電圧を第1キャパシタが保持している状態で、導通状態の第1スイッチングトランジスタを介して第2キャパシタに映像信号電圧を書き込む。【選択図】 図1
