Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect uneven wear of a photoreceptor that is likely to be determined to be benign in monitoring of an average thickness.SOLUTION: After completion of charging of a photoreceptor drum 22, the image forming apparatus exposes each of a predetermined division number (32 division) of exposure areas 22 (n), integrates a current value i during subsequent charging to obtain an integrated current value I, and compares the integrated current value I with a threshold to determine the presence of the occurrence of uneven wear. The image forming apparatus can determine the presence of the occurrence of uneven wear for each of the exposure areas 22 (n), and can recognize the occurrence of uneven wear quicker than determination of the presence of average wear, that is, can detect uneven wear of the photoreceptor drum 22 before the occurrence of a reduction in image quality.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
【課題】平均的な厚みの監視では良性判定される可能性がある感光体の偏摩耗を検知する。【解決手段】感光体ドラム22の帯電が完了すると、予め定めた分割数(32分割)の露光領域22(n)毎に露光し、その後の帯電中の電流値iを積算し(積算電流値I)、しきい値と比較して、偏摩耗の発生の有無を判定する。露光領域22(n)毎に偏摩耗の発生の有無の判定が可能であり、平均的な摩耗の発生の有無の判定に比べて、迅速に編摩耗の発生が認識可能となる。すなわち、感光体ドラム22の偏摩耗を画質低下が発生する前に検知することが可能となる。【選択図】図9 |
