Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cognitive function-improving agent having the effects of solving the problem of an effective amount of DHA intake relevant to the upper limit of intake and the problem of an excessive amount of intake, exerting the functionality of DHA to brain functions, etc., functioning effectively at safe intake levels, being easily ingested for a long time by reducing intake per day.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a cognitive function-improving agent that comprises docosahexaenoic acid and astaxanthin. The cognitive function-improving agent is used so that docosahexaenoic acid in dose of 200 mg or more and 600 mg or less per day is orally administered to a human.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 【課題】DHA摂取量の有効量と摂取上限との問題、および多量の摂取量という問題を解決し、脳機能等へDHAの機能性を発揮させるものであり、安全に摂取できる摂取量で有効に機能し、かつ、1日当たりの摂取量を低減することで長期間摂取しやすいという効果を有する認知機能改善剤を提供する。【解決手段】ドコサヘキサエン酸と、アスタキサンチンとを含有する認知機能改善剤であって、前記認知機能改善剤を、ヒトに対して、1日当たり200mg以上600mg以下のドコサヘキサエン酸が、経口投与されるように用いられることを特徴とする認知機能改善剤。【選択図】図7
