Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing device for toner and a method of manufacturing toner that suppress a processed product from rising in temperature even when strengthening fixing processing in tightly fixing large-diameter external additives to surfaces of toner particles.SOLUTION: A processing device for toner comprises: a processing tank 110 in which a processed body including toner particles and external additives is processed and a cylindrical internal space of which has a center axis substantially perpendicular; a cooling jacket provided on an outer peripheral surface of the processing tank; fluidizing means of fluidizing the processed body upward from a bottom part; a rotary body 141 which is provided rotatably above the fluidizing means and has a processing part striking on and processing the processed body; and a restriction plate 130 which is arranged above the rotary body. The restriction plate is provided with a gap between itself and an inner wall surface of the processing tank, and fitted at an angle formed by a straight line connecting a center axis-side end of the restriction plate and an inner wall surface-side end and a straight line coming into contact with the inner wall surface at an intersection of the straight line and inner wall surface, an angle on an upstream side in a rotating direction being always less than 90°.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】トナー粒子の表面に大粒径外添剤を強固に固着する際に固着処理を強くしても被処理物の温度上昇を抑制するトナー用処理装置及びトナーの製造方法を提供すること。【解決手段】トナー粒子及び外添剤を含む被処理物の処理が行われ、円柱状の内部空間の中心軸が略鉛直となる処理槽110と、処理槽の外周面に設けられた冷却ジャケットと、被処理物を底部から上方に流動させる流動手段と、流動手段の上方に回転可能に設けられ被処理物に衝突して処理する処理部とを有する回転体141と、回転体よりも上方に配置される規制板130を備え、規制板は処理槽の内壁面と間隙を有して設けられ、処理槽の中心軸に対して垂直な平面において、規制板の中心軸側の端部と、内壁面側の端部とを結んだ直線と、直線と内壁面との交点における内壁面に接する直線とがなす角度で、回転方向の上流側の角度が常に90度未満となるように取り付けられているトナー用処理装置。【選択図】図1
