PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix a cylinder to a pump body with a simple configuration even with high fuel pressure.SOLUTION: A high pressure fuel supply pump 1 comprises: a plunger 2 which performs reciprocal motion; a cylinder 6 which guides the reciprocal motion of the plunger 2; and a pump body 1A which holds the cylinder 6. The cylinder 6 and the pump body 1A: have contact faces 6a and 1g arranged opposite to each other in a direction of the reciprocal motion of the plunger 2; and are assembled by being compressed in a state where at least either the contact face 6a of the cylinder 6 or the contact face 1g of the pump body 1A is subject to plastic deformation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】高い燃料圧力においても、簡便な構造でシリンダをポンプ本体に固定する。【解決手段】往復運動するプランジャ２と、プランジャ２の往復運動をガイドするシリンダ６と、シリンダ６を保持するポンプ本体１Ａと、を有する高圧燃料供給ポンプ１において、シリンダ６とポンプ本体１Ａとは、プランジャ２の往復運動方向において対向する接触面６ａ，１ｇを備え、シリンダ６の接触面６ａとポンプ本体１Ａの接触面１ｇとを、少なくともいずれか一方の接触面が塑性変形するように圧着した状態で組み付ける。【選択図】図１
