PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high pressure fuel supply pump which enables a discharge valve mechanism including a guide mechanism to be miniaturized.SOLUTION: A high pressure fuel supply pump comprises: a pressure chamber to compress fluid; a discharge valve member 8b which is arranged between the pressure chamber and a discharge passage; a discharge valve seat section 8a with which the discharge valve member 8b is brought into contact; a discharge valve spring member 8c which energizes the discharge valve member 8b in a direction that the same is brought into contact with the discharge valve seat section 8a; a guided section 8e which is arranged opposite to the pressure chamber with respect to the discharge valve member 8b; and a guide section 8f which is arranged opposite to the pressure chamber with respect to the discharge valve member 8b and guides the guided section 8e. The guide section 8f and the guided section 8e are arranged at an inner side than an outer periphery of the discharge valve member 8b in a radial direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】本発明の目的は、ガイド機構を含む吐出弁機構の小型化が可能な高圧燃料供給ポンプを提供することにある。【解決手段】本発明の高圧燃料供給ポンプは、流体を圧縮するための加圧室と、加圧室と吐出通路との間に配置される吐出弁部材８ｂと、吐出弁部材８ｂが当接する吐出弁シート部８ａと、吐出弁部材８ｂを吐出弁シート部８ａに当接する向きに付勢する吐出弁ばね部材８ｃと、を備えた高圧燃料供給ポンプにおいて、吐出弁部材８ｂの加圧室側とは反対側に形成される被案内部８ｅと、吐出弁部材８ｂに対して加圧室側とは反対側に配置され、被案内部８ｅをガイドする案内部８ｆと、を備え、案内部８ｆ及び被案内部８ｅは、吐出弁部材８ｂの外周よりも径方向内側に配置される。【選択図】 図４
