PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum alloy-made element for a slide fastener having enhanced strength and abrasion resistance.SOLUTION: An element for a slide fastener contains an aluminum alloy having a composition represented by the general formula of AlSiCuMgTiB, and a deposition containing at least one kind of element selected from Al, Si, Cu and Mg as a base material. The element has a pair of leg parts and a head part having a convex part and a concave part for connecting and engaging the pair of leg parts.
