Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating a rusty layer of a weathering steel that can calculate the approximate length of exposure which makes a formed rusty layer what it appears to be now when the rusty layer has been actually exposed to air.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method for evaluating the appearance of a rusty layer formed on a surface of a weathering steel, which includes the steps of: measuring a chromaticity aof a Labcolor system or a chroma Cof a LCh color system on a surface of the weathering steel as a measurement parameter; and calculating the length of exposure of the weathering steel based on the measurement parameter obtained in the measurement process and the correlation between a previously acquired measurement parameter and an actual length of exposure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】形成された錆層が、実際に大気暴露されたのだとすれば、どの程度の暴露期間を経た外観に相当するかを示す暴露相当期間を算出することが可能な耐候性鋼材の錆層評価方法を提供する。【解決手段】本発明は、耐候性鋼材の表面に形成された錆層の外観を評価する方法であって、耐候性鋼材の表面において、L*a*b*表色系の色度a*又はL*C*h表色系の彩度C*を測定パラメータとして測定する測定工程と、測定工程で測定した測定パラメータと、予め取得した測定パラメータと実際の暴露期間との相関関係とに基づき、耐候性鋼材の暴露相当期間を算出する算出工程と、を含む。【選択図】図3 |
