Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow wheel position detection to be adequately performed without requiring an additional facility, such as a trigger machine, or a two-axial G sensor, with little constraint on a mounting position, and without bringing in complication of communication specification.SOLUTION: A sensor transmitter 2 itself calculates the inclination angle θof attachment of a G sensor 22 to wheels 5a-5d, and estimates which the G sensor is attached to, right wheels 5a, 5c or left wheels 5c, 5d on the basis of a calculation quadratic function and an actual measurement quadratic function. Then, a receiver 3 side determines which each sensor transmitter 2 is attached to, any of both front wheels 5a, 5b or any of both rear wheels 5c, 5d on the basis of the estimation result and an effective tire radius. This makes it possible to determine which each sensor transmitter 2 is attached to, a wheel 5a, 5b, 5c, or 5d.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】トリガ機などの追加の設備や2軸のGセンサを必要とせず、搭載位置の制約も少なく、通信仕様の複雑化を招かなくても、的確に車輪位置検出を行うことができるようにする。【解決手段】センサ送信機2自身で、車輪5a〜5dに対するGセンサ22の取り付けの傾斜角度θsetを演算し、計算2次関数と実測2次関数とに基づいて、右車輪5a、5cと左車輪5b、5dのいずれに取り付けられたものであるかを推定する。そして、その推定結果および実効タイヤ半径に基づいて、受信機3側で各センサ送信機2が両前輪5a、5bと両後輪5c、5dのいずれに取り付けられたものであるかを特定する。これにより、センサ送信機2が車輪5a〜5dのいずれに取り付けられたものであるかを特定することが可能となる。【選択図】図1
