Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which the pyrophoric of a coal cannot be appropriately evaluated solely by measuring the weight increase amount of the coal caused by absorption of oxygen.SOLUTION: When the atmospheric temperature is a predetermined temperature of 60°C or less, and in an atmosphere in which the atmosphere gas is a pure oxygen gas, the weight increase amount of a coal is measured by a thermobalance. Then, the level of the pyrophoric of the coal is evaluated on the basis of the weight increase amount of the coal at a predetermined timing in a predetermined period after the start of the increase of the amount of the coal. The predetermined period is a period until the weight increase amount of a brown coal in the atmosphere decreases to 90% of a peak value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】 酸素の吸収に伴う石炭の重量増加量を単に測定しただけでは、石炭の自然発火性を適切に評価することはできない。【解決手段】 雰囲気温度が60℃以下の所定温度であり、雰囲気ガスが純酸素ガスである雰囲気において、石炭の重量増加量を熱天秤によって測定する。そして、石炭の重量が増加し始めてから所定時間が経過するまでの間の所定タイミングにおける石炭の重量増加量に基づいて、石炭の自然発火性の高低に関する評価を行う。所定時間は、雰囲気における褐炭の重量増加量がピーク値の90%に低下するまでの時間である。【選択図】 図1
