PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clearance correction method and a clearance correction device of metal band continuous cutting blades, which are capable of properly correcting a clearance between cutting blades according to an increasing wear amount of the cutting blades, in metal band continuous cutting equipment (for example, a side trimmer) for continuously cutting a metal band (such as a steel strip).SOLUTION: The clearance correction method of metal band continuous cutting blades for correcting a clearance between cutting blades in metal band continuous cutting equipment that continuously cuts a metal band estimates a wear amount of the cutting blades at a present time point, on the basis of a sort of the metal bands that have been cut by the presently used cutting blades up to the present time point, a cutting distance per sort of the metal bands, and a wear factor per sort of the metal bands, in order to correct a clearance between the cutting blades in accordance with the estimated wear amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】金属帯（例えば、鋼帯）を連続的に切断する金属帯連続切断設備（例えば、サイドトリマ）において、切断刃の磨耗量の増加に応じて切断刃間のクリアランスを適切に補正することができる金属帯連続切断刃のクリアランス補正方法ならびにクリアランス補正装置を提供する。【解決手段】金属帯を連続的に切断する金属帯連続切断設備において、切断刃間のクリアランスを補正する金属帯連続切断刃のクリアランス補正方法であって、現在使用中の切断刃が現時点までに切断した金属帯の種類と、それら金属帯の種類毎の切断距離と、それら金属帯の種類毎の磨耗係数に基づいて、現時点の切断刃の磨耗量を推定し、その推定した磨耗量に応じて、切断刃間のクリアランスを補正することを特徴とする金属帯連続切断刃のクリアランス補正方法。【選択図】図１
