PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating rotator capable of preventing abnormality heating at crack generation by detecting temperature even in a rotation stop state, and a fixing device using the same.SOLUTION: The heating rotator includes: a cylindrical base layer; a plurality of resistive heating elements with a volume resistivity smaller than that of the base layer provided in a spiral shape on the base layer so that some of the resistive heating elements are in the temperature detection area; a conductive layer having a volume resistivity smaller than that of the base layer and provided in the circumferential direction at both end portions in the longitudinal direction of the base layer so as to be electrically connected to the plurality of resistance heating elements.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 【課題】クラック発生時における異常発熱を、回転停止状態でも温度検知可能とすることで抑制できる加熱回転体及びこれを用いた定着装置を提供する。【解決手段】円筒状の基層と、前記基層よりも体積抵抗率が小さく、温度検知領域に複数本がかかるように、前記基層の上にらせん状に設けられる複数本の抵抗発熱体と、前記基層よりも体積抵抗率が小さく、前記複数本の抵抗発熱体と電気接続するように前記基層の長手方向の両端部において周方向に設けられる導電層と、を有する。【選択図】図７
