Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a downsized spatial image display device that can display a spatial image with a plurality of depths.SOLUTION: A spatial image display device 1 comprises: a casing 11; one or more transmittance variable plates 13 that are arranged outside the casing 11, project projection light from a projector 20 and variably control transmittance; and an optical element 12 that is arranged inside the casing 11, enters light projected to the transmittance variable plates 13, and causes a spatial image to be formed inside the casing 11.
