Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for the conversion of lignocellulose into an organic acid for obtaining an organic acid in a high concentration, with a high yield and at a high purity.SOLUTION: A process comprise the steps of: a) pretreating a feed comprising a lignocellulose material with an alkaline agent comprising a divalent cation in the presence of water to obtain the aqueous slurry of the lignocellulose material; b) supplying at least part of the slurry of the lignocellulose material to a fermentation zone and subjecting it to enzymatic hydrolysis and fermentation in the presence of a microorganism to obtain a fermentation broth comprising an insoluble lignocellulose, the precipitated and dissolved salts of the organic acid by the divalent cation, and an enzyme; c) discharging fermentation broth obtained in step (b) from the fermentation zone; d) separating from the fermentation broth a liquid phase comprising the dissolved salt of the organic acid and a solid phase comprising insoluble lignocellulose and the precipitated salt of the organic acid; and e) recycling at least part of the liquid phase to alkaline pre-treatment step and/or to the fermentation zone.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】有機酸を高い濃度でかつ高い収率及び高い純度で得る為の、リグノセルロースを有機酸に転化する方法の提供。【解決手段】a)リグノセルロース物質を含む供給物を水の存在下で、2価の陽イオンを含むアルカリ剤により前処理して、リグノセルロース物質の水性スラリーを得る、b)上記リグノセルロース物質のスラリーの少なくとも一部を醗酵ゾーンに供給し、微生物の存在下で酵素による加水分解および醗酵に付して、不溶リグノセルロース、上記2価の陽イオンによる有機酸の析出した塩及び溶解した塩、及び、酵素を含む醗酵ブロスを得る、c)工程(b)で得られた醗酵ブロスを醗酵ゾーンから排出する、d)上記醗酵ブロスから、上記有機酸の溶解した塩を含む液相と不溶リグノセルロースおよび上記有機酸の析出した塩を含む固相とを分離する、及び、e)上記液相の少なくとも一部をアルカリ前処理工程及び/又は醗酵ゾーンに再循環する、ことを含む方法。【選択図】図1
