Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress noise generated in an optical nonlinear process and SNR reduction in a WDM diversity transmission system using a multicore optical fiber.SOLUTION: An optical transmitter is a WDM light/phase conjugate WDM light transmitter by which a WDM light resulting from multiplexing wavelengths of a signal light having a plurality of wavelengths resulting from modulating carrier lights of a plurality of wavelengths with transmission data and a phase conjugate WDM light resulting from multiplexing wavelengths of a phase conjugate light of the signal lights of the wavelengths are generated and sent to each of a plurality of optical fiber transmission lines. An optical receiver is configured to input the WDM light and the phase conjugate WDM light transmitted via the plurality of optical fiber transmission lines and performs maximum photosynthesis reception on the diversity-transmitted signal lights of the wavelengths. The plurality of optical fiber transmission lines are configured by using an optical fiber transmission line of which the wavelength dispersion value is suppressed at such a degree that influences of coherent high-level noise caused by a four-light-wave mixed light are prevented from becoming obvious.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】マルチコア光ファイバを用いたWDMダイバーシティ伝送システムにおいて、光非線形過程によって発生する雑音およびSNR低下を抑制する。【解決手段】光送信器は、複数の波長の搬送波光をそれぞれ送信データで変調した複数の波長の信号光を波長多重したWDM光と、各波長の信号光の位相共役光を波長多重した位相共役WDM光とを生成し、複数の光ファイバ伝送路の各光ファイバ伝送路へそれぞれ送出するWDM光・位相共役WDM光送信器であり、光受信器は、複数の光ファイバ伝送路を介して伝送されたWDM光および位相共役WDM光を入力し、ダイバーシティ伝送した各波長の信号光を最大光合成受信する構成であり、複数の光ファイバ伝送路は、波長分散値が4光波混合光による干渉性高度雑音の影響が顕在化しない程度に抑えられた光ファイバ伝送路を用いて構成される。【選択図】 図1
