Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide more effective means for treating cancer through the expression suppressive activity against the PSF1 gene.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a composition having the expression suppressive activity against the PSF1 gene. In an HPLC analysis under the conditions (A) to (F) described below, the composition comprises at least one or more components selected from the group consisting of component (I) having a peak at a retention time of 7.8 minutes, component (II) having a peak at a retention time of 9.2 minutes, component (III) having a peak at a retention time of 12.5 minutes, component (IV) having a peak at a retention time of 20.8 minutes, and component (V) having a peak at a retention time of 21.6 minutes. The components (I) to (V) are derived from cucumber or cowpea. The conditions are (A) HPLC column: a column with an inner diameter of 4.6 mm and a length of 150 mm, packed with an octadecylated silica gel carrier (a particle size of 3 μm). (B) HPLC column oven temperature: 40°C, (C) flow rate: 0.8 ml/min, (D) detection: 190 to 400 nm, (E) mobile phase: (a) methanol and (b) 2.5 mM aqueous ammonium formate solution, (F) gradient conditions: a mixed solvent of 85% (a) and 15% (b) is kept for 5 minutes, the concentration of (a) in the mixed solvent is increased from 85% to 100% over 15 minutes linearly, and then the concentration of (a) is kept at 100%.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】PSF1遺伝子の発現抑制活性を通じた、より効果的ながんの治療手段を提供すること。【解決手段】下記(A)〜(F)の条件でのHPLC分析において、保持時間7.8分にピークを有する成分(I)、保持時間9.2分にピークを有する成分(II)、保持時間12.5分にピークを有する成分(III)、保持時間20.8分にピークを有する成分(IV)、及び保持時間21.6分にピークを有する成分(V)から成る群より選択される1種以上の成分を含有し、前記成分(I)〜(V)がキュウリグサ又はウワバミソウに由来する、PSF1遺伝子発現抑制活性を有する組成物:(A)HPLCカラム:オクタデシル化シリカゲル担体(粒子径3μm)を充填した内径4.6mm、長さ150mmのカラム(B)HPLCカラムオーブン温度:40℃(C)流速:0.8ml/分(D)検出:190〜400nm(E)移動相:(a)メタノール及び(b)2.5mMギ酸アンモニウム水溶液(F)グラジエント条件:85%の(a)と15%の(b)との混合溶媒を5分間保持し、その後15分かけて混合溶媒中の(a)の濃度を85%から100%に直線的に上昇させ、その後(a)の濃度を100%に維持。【選択図】なし
