PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development device which is reduced in size in comparison to a conventional development device and an image formation apparatus.SOLUTION: A development device 21 includes: a housing body 30 which has a storage part 35 storing toner; a development roller 32 which is provided on the upper side than the storage part 35 in the housing body 30, supported so as to be rotatable in the predetermined rotation direction X2, carries the toner in the storage part 35 on the surface thereof by receiving the toner at a predetermined position P1, and conveys the toner to a predetermined position P2 on the downstream side in the rotation direction X2 with rotation; a planar regulation blade 34 which is provided on the downstream side in the rotation direction L2 with respect to the position P1 and on the upstream side in the rotation direction X2 with respect to the position P2, and regulates the layer thickness of the toner carried on the surface of the development roller 32; and a support part 70 which is integrally formed in the housing body 30 and supports a regulation blade 34 between the development roller 32 and the surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】従来の現像装置よりもコンパクト化される現像装置及び画像形成装置を提供すること。【解決手段】現像装置２１は、トナーを貯留する貯留部３５を有するハウジング本体３０と、ハウジング本体３０内において貯留部３５よりも上側に設けられ、予め定められた回転方向Ｘ２へ回転可能に支持されており、貯留部３５の前記トナーを予め定められた位置Ｐ１で受け取って表面に担持し、回転されることにより回転方向Ｘ２の下流側に予め定められた位置Ｐ２へ搬送する現像ローラー３２と、位置Ｐ１よりも回転方向Ｌ２の下流側であって位置Ｐ２よりも回転方向Ｘ２の上流側に設けられ、現像ローラー３２の前記表面に担持された前記トナーの層厚を規制する板状の規制ブレード３４と、ハウジング本体３０に一体に形成されており、現像ローラー３２の前記表面との間に規制ブレード３４を支持する支持部７０とを備える。【選択図】図２
