Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image sensor that causes light other than light focused by a lens body not to be applied to a photoreceptor and prevents intrusion of foreign matters into the photoreceptor.SOLUTION: An image sensor includes a light guide body which extends in a main scanning direction and emits light to a reading target object, a lens body for converging reflection light reflected from the reading target object, a photoreceptor for receiving the reflection light converged by the lens body, and a housing which houses or holds the light guide body, the lens body and the photoreceptor and is formed by bending a sheet metal. The housing includes a bottom portion which has a slit portion which extends in the main scanning direction and through which the reflection light passing through the lens body passes, and a pair of lens body fixing portions which are inclined at a predetermined angle from both end portions of the slit portion in an auxiliary scanning direction and bent inwardly, and extend in the main scanning direction.
