PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding device with which it is possible to sufficiently improve the workability of attaching a measurement instrument that is easily attachable/detachable due to a simple structure.SOLUTION: A holding device 20 includes a holding tool (holding means) 21 for contacting a detector 3 and restricting movement, the holding tool 21 having a first holding member 23 located on one width side of a scale frame 4 and a second holding member 24 located on the other width side. A first insertion part 32 inserted into the groove 10 of the scale frame 4 and a first contact part 34 provided in the first insertion part 32 and capable of contacting a counter face part 11 on one side of the groove are formed in the first holding member 23, and a second insertion part 42 inserted into the groove 10 and a second contact part 44 provided in the second insertion part 42 and capable of contacting a counter face part 12 on the other side of the groove 10 are formed in the second holding member 24.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】簡単な構造によって容易に着脱することができ測定器の取付け作業性を十分に向上させることができる保持装置を提供。【解決手段】保持装置２０は、検出器３に当接して移動を規制する保持具（保持手段）２１を備え、保持具２１は、スケール枠４の幅方向一方側に位置する第一保持部材２３と、幅方向他方側に位置する第二保持部材２４と、を有し、第一保持部材２３には、スケール枠４の溝部１０に挿入される第一挿入部３２と、第一挿入部３２に設けられて溝部の一方側の対向面部１１に当接可能な第一当接部３４と、が形成され、第二保持部材２４には、溝部１０に挿入される第二挿入部４２と、第二挿入部４２に設けられて溝部１０の他方側の対向面部１２に当接可能な第二当接部４４と、が形成される。【選択図】図２
