PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image projection device capable of increasing capturable information amount when an image is visually recognized by projecting the image exceeding a display screen of an image display apparatus.SOLUTION: The image projection device includes: a detection section 54 that detects a display image displayed on a display screen 34 of an image display apparatus (smart phone 24) from an image picked up by an imaging unit (camera 52); and a control unit 50 that controls a projection part (projector 48) to project a projection image different from the display image at a position different from the display screen 34 on the basis of a piece of display information on the display image detected by the detection section 54.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】画像表示機器の表示画面以外に画像を投影し、画像を視認したときの取得できる情報量を多くする。【解決手段】撮像部（カメラ５２）で撮影された画像から、画像表示機器（スマートフォン２４）の表示画面３４に表示された表示画像を検出する検出部５４を有する。さらに、検出部５４で検出した表示画像の表示情報に基いて、表示画面３４と異なる位置に表示画像と異なる投影画像を投影するように投影部（プロジェクタ４８）を制御する制御部５０を有する。【選択図】図２
