Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily forming an anticorrosive and conductive lower-order titanium oxide layer on the surface of a titanium substrate.SOLUTION: In a titanium substrate surface modification method for modifying surfaces 21 and 22 of a titanium substrate 20 by forming a low-order titanium oxide layer or a layer of a lower order titanium oxide layer than titanium dioxide on the surfaces 21 and 22 of the titanium substrate 20, the titanium substrate 20 made of pure titanium is dipped in a molten salt 14 such as CaCO, KCl, LiCl or NaCl containing an oxidant. Alternatively, a potential is applied by using the titanium substrate 20 as an anode and a promoter 30 as a cathode thereby to modify the surfaces 21 and 22 of the titanium substrate 20 for forming a titanium oxide layer of a low order, that is, a layer of a titanium oxide (TiOx(0<x<2)) of a lower order than that of the titanium dioxide. The modifying method modifies the surfaces 21 and 22 of the titanium substrate 20 arranged in the molten salt 14 with a modifier 30 for modifying the formation of the low-order titanium oxide layer made of aluminum or a carbon material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】チタン基材の表面に耐食性及び導電性の低次酸化チタン層を容易に形成する方法の提供。【解決手段】純チタンからなるチタン基材20の表面21,22に、二酸化チタンよりも低次の酸化チタンの層である低次酸化チタン層を形成してチタン基材20の表面21,22を改質する方法であり、酸化剤を含むCaCO3、KCl、LiCl、NaCl等の溶融塩14中に純チタンからなるチタン基材20を浸漬し、又は更にチタン基材20を陽極、促進材30を陰極として電位を印加することにより、チタン基材20の表面21,22に、二酸化チタンよりも低次の酸化チタン(TiOx(0<x<2))の層である低次酸化チタン層を形成するチタン基材20の表面21,22を改質する方法。溶融塩14中にアルミニウム又は炭素材料からなる低次酸化チタン層形成を促進する促進材30を配置するチタン基材20の表面21,22の改質方法。【選択図】図1 |
