Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology having high accuracy and versatility while being simple in structure by attaching, in particular, a rod position detection device having a permanent magnet, a lead switch or the like to the outside of a cylinder main body, in a hydraulic cylinder device having the rod position detection device.SOLUTION: A rod position detection device 3 of a hydraulic cylinder device 1 comprises: a position detection rod 4; an annular permanent magnet 5 which is fixed to an external periphery of the other end 42 of the position detection rod 4; a cylindrical cover 6 which is composed of a non-magnetic material; and a lead switch 7 which is fixed to an external periphery of the cylindrical cover 6 so as to be adjustable in position. One end of the position detection rod is connected to a piston-side end part 25b of a piston rod 25 while penetrating a second rod bush 23. The cylindrical cover 6 is formed into a prescribed length at which the position detection rod fixed with the permanent magnet 5 can reciprocate in the cylindrical cover 6, covers the position detection rod 4 which is fixed with the permanent magnet 5, and is attached to a cylinder main body 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】ロッド位置検出装置を備えた液圧シリンダ装置に係り、特に、永久磁石、リードスイッチ等を備えたロッド位置検出装置を、シリンダ本体の外方に取付けるようにして、簡単な構造でありながら、精度の高い汎用性をもたせた技術である。【解決手段】液圧シリンダ装置1のロッド位置検出装置3は、位置検出ロッド4と、位置検出ロッド4の他端42外周に固定した円環状の永久磁石5と、非磁性材料からなる円筒状カバー6と、円筒状カバー6の外周に位置調節可能に固定したリードスイッチ7とを備えており、位置検出ロッドの一端を第二ロッドブッシュ23を貫通してピストンロッド25のピストン側端部25bに連結し、円筒状カバー6を、永久磁石5を固定した位置検出ロッドが円筒状カバー6内で往復動可能な所定長さに形成して永久磁石5を固定した位置検出ロッド4を覆うとともに、シリンダ本体2に取付けたものである。【選択図】図3
