Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low Si hypereutectic flake graphite cast iron article without chill excellent in vibration absorption and machinability and a manufacturing method therefor.SOLUTION: It contains, by wt.%, C:4.05 to 5.5%, Si:1.25% or less, Mn:2% or less, P:0.25% or less, S:0.2% or less and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities and having CEL=C%+0.23Si% of 4.33 to 5.55% and chill of 1% or less.
