Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope system capable of highly accurately calculating oxygen saturation even in a state that an observation target has a yellow pigment or the like, and also to provide a method for operating the endoscope system.SOLUTION: A control unit 60 performs first preliminary imaging in which an observation target is illuminated and image-captured with first blue light BS at a wavelength band of 450±10 nm. A yellow pigment concentration calculation unit 72 calculates concentration of the yellow pigment based on an image signal obtained by performing the first preliminary imaging. A predetermined exposure calculation unit 73 calculates a predetermined exposure of second blue light BL at a wavelength band of 470±10 nm for second preliminary imaging based on the calculated concentration of the yellow pigment. The control unit 60 performs the second preliminary imaging in which the observation target is illuminated and image-captured with the second blue light BL based on the predetermined exposure of the second blue light for the second preliminary imaging. An arithmetic value calculation unit 74 calculates an arithmetic value based on an image signal obtained by performing the second preliminary imaging. 【課題】観察対象に黄色色素などが有る状況においても、酸素飽和度を高精度に算出することができる内視鏡システム及び内視鏡システムの作動方法を提供する。【解決手段】制御部60は、波長帯域450±10nmの第1青色光BSで観察対象を照明して撮像する第1プレ撮影を行う。黄色色素濃度算出部72は、第1プレ撮影を行って得られた画像信号に基づいて、黄色色素の濃度を算出する。規定露光量算出部73は、算出された黄色色素の濃度に基づいて、第2プレ撮影用の波長帯域470±10nmの第2青色光BLの規定露光量を算出する。制御部60は、第2プレ撮影用の第2青色光BLの規定露光量に基づき、第2青色光BLで観察対象を照明して撮像する第2プレ撮影を行う。演算値算出部74は、第2プレ撮影を行って得られた画像信号に基づき演算値を算出する。判定部75は、演算値が最適値に近づいたか否かを判定する。【選択図】図8 |
