Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sphygmograph capable of optimizing pushing pressure by providing a contact part at an intelligible position.SOLUTION: A sphygmograph (1) includes: a light irradiation unit (3) for applying light to a site (25) of a human body; a light receiving unit (5) for receiving reflected light as light reflected from the site or transmission light as light transmitting trough the site; pulse wave measuring unit (7) for measuring pulse waves on the basis of the reflected light or the transmission light; and a contact part (15) with which the site comes into contact during measurement of the pulse waves.
