PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional object detection apparatus and a three-dimensional object authentication apparatus capable of accurately determining whether a three-dimensional object as a detection object with simple processing.SOLUTION: The three-dimensional object detection apparatus includes: an acquisition section 210; an evaluation section 220; and a three-dimensional object determination section 230. The acquisition section 210 acquires a feature quantity of a three-dimensional shape in a partial area which includes a feature point of the detection object. The evaluation section 220 generates an evaluation value which represents a similarity between the feature quantity and a feature quantity as a reference.
