Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle door lock device capable of restricting adhesion of water on an end on casing side of an operation wire for operating a lock mechanism, which is exposed outside from the casing, even if water adheres on a surface of a housing.SOLUTION: Operation wires 45, 49 have exposed parts 45a, 49a, which protrude outside from a casing when the operation wires are positioned at a first predetermined position to casings 46, 47, 50, 51. A housing 21 is located above the exposed parts and has a water guide ribs 28, 29, which protrude on an outer face of the housing. The water guide rib is gradually lowered from one end part to the other end part side in extension direction. When a door lock device 20 is viewed in a thickness direction of the vehicle door 10, an end part on casing side of the exposed part is located between one end part and the other end part of the water guide rib at the lower side of the water guide rib.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 【課題】 ハウジングの表面に水が付着した場合であっても、ロック機構を操作する操作ワイヤのケーシングから外側に露出する部分のケーシング側の端部に水が付着するのを抑制可能な車両用ドアロック装置を提供すること。【解決手段】操作ワイヤ45、49が、操作ワイヤがケーシング46、47、50、51に対して第一の所定位置に位置するときにケーシングから外側に突出する露出部45a、49aを有し、ハウジング21が露出部より上方に位置する態様でハウジングの外面に突設された水誘導リブ28、29を有し、水誘導リブが延長方向の一方の端部から他方の端部側へ向かうにつれて徐々に下方に位置する形状であり、ドアロック装置20を車両ドア10の厚み方向に見たときに、露出部のケーシング側の端部が、水誘導リブの下方において水誘導リブの一方の端部と他方の端部との間に位置している。【選択図】 図6
