PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Striga germination adjustment agent having different basic skeleton from Strigolactone which is a natural germination promotion material and a derivative thereof, high in stability in a solution and having a compound which can be manufactured at low cost as an active ingredient.SOLUTION: There is provided a Striga germination adjustment agent containing a compound represented by the formula (1), a salt thereof, a hydrate thereof or a solvation thereof.
