Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and light-weight power conversion device.SOLUTION: A power conversion device 10 includes: a power converter unit 11 which performs power conversion between the primary side and the secondary side, and charges or discharges a power storage device 20 connected to the secondary side; a heat radiator 16 which radiates heat generated from the power converter unit 11 at power conversion; and a charge and discharge current control unit 15 which controls the power conversion by the power converter unit 11. The charge and discharge current control unit 15 derives the conversion efficiency of the power converter unit 11 on the basis of a secondary side voltage Vr, and using the derived conversion efficiency, calculates a power conversion loss generated by the power conversion, to control the power conversion in such a manner that, when the calculated power conversion loss exceeds a heat radiation capacity of the heat radiator 16, the power conversion loss is limited to be the heat radiation capacity or smaller.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】小型化及び軽量化を図ることができる電力変換装置を提供する。【解決手段】電力変換装置10は、1次側と2次側との間で電力変換を行い、2次側に接続される蓄電装置20の充電または放電を行う電力変換部11と、電力変換に伴い電力変換部11に発生する熱を放出する放熱装置16と、電力変換部11による電力変換を制御する充放電電流制御部15と、を備える。充放電電流制御部15は、2次側電圧Vrに基づき電力変換部11の変換効率を導出し、導出した変換効率を用いて電力変換により発生する電力変換ロスを算出し、算出した電力変換ロスが放熱装置16の放熱能力を超える場合、電力変換ロスが放熱能力以下になるように電力変換を制御する。【選択図】図1
