Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a capacitor from regenerative power, and to effectively utilize the regenerative power in such a manner that a problem about refrigerant control does not occur.SOLUTION: An air conditioner includes: fans 15, 16 of an outdoor unit 100 and fan drive circuits 13, 14 for driving these; a compressor 10 and a compressor drive circuit 9 for driving the same; common two power supply lines 4 for supplying a DC voltage to the fan drive circuits 13, 14 and the compressor drive circuit 9; a capacitor 5 provided between the two power supply lines 4; voltage detection parts 6, 7 for detecting an inter-line voltage between the two power supply lines 4; and a control part 8 for, in a state where the operation of the compressor 10 is stopped, when a regenerative voltage detected by the voltage detection parts 6, 7 exceeds a predetermined value, consuming the regenerative power by a heat generating operation which does not involve refrigerant movement.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】回生電圧からコンデンサを保護し、かつ、冷媒制御の問題を生じない形で回生電力を有効利用する。
