Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double-side reversing device and an image formation apparatus which can eliminate an excessive conveyance distance, perform reversing conveyance and perform sheet passage without reduction in the productivity of normal sheet, cardboard and sheet formed with no curl.SOLUTION: A rear end of a sheet P is detected by a sheet rear end detection sensor 42, and a distance L between the rear end of the sheet P and the tip of a reversing path switching claw 26 is varied. In a case of, for example, a thin sheet, the sheet is temporarily stopped and reversely conveyed with a certain length of the distance L secured after passage through the switching claw. In a case of normal sheet and cardboard, the sheet is temporarily stopped and reversely conveyed with the short length L secured (immediately after passage through the switching claw). Consequently, the sheet passage can be performed without reduction in the productivity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 【課題】余分な搬送距離をなくし反転搬送ができ、普通紙や厚紙、あるいはカールを形成しない用紙の生産性を低下させることなく通紙が可能である両面反転装置、画像形成装置を提供する。【解決手段】用紙P後端を用紙後端検知センサ42にて検知し、用紙P後端と反転経路切替爪26先端との距離Lを可変させる。例えば薄紙の場合は、切替爪を通過後、距離Lをある程度長く確保してから一時停止し反転搬送させ、普通紙や厚紙の場合は距離Lを短く確保(切替爪通過直後)してから一時停止し、反転搬送させる。これにより、生産性を低下させることなく通紙ができる。【選択図】図5
