PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a road face at early timing without elongating a time necessary for the determination of a road face, and to improve the accuracy of the determination.SOLUTION: A road face state determination device comprises: a vehicle state amount detection part which detects a vehicle state amount of a vehicle; first road face state detection means which compares a measurement value of the vehicle state amount which is supplied from the vehicle state amount detection part, and a reference value of a preset vehicle state amount, and determines a road face state; and second road face state determination means which drives an actuator capable of changing the vehicle state amount of the vehicle after the determination by the first road face state detection means, and determines the road face state by comparing a reference value of the deviation of the vehicle state amount before and after the drive of the actuator with respect to the deviation of the vehicle state amount which is supplied from the vehicle state amount detection part before the drive of the actuator, and the vehicle state amount which is supplied from the vehicle state amount detection part after the drive of the actuator.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】路面の判定に要する時間を増加させることなく路面の判定を早いタイミングで実行するとともに、判定の確度を向上すること。【解決手段】路面状態判定装置は、車両における車両状態量を検出する車両状態量検出部と、車両状態量検出部から供給された車両状態量の計測値と、あらかじめ設定された車両状態量の基準値とを比較して、路面状態を判定する第１路面状態判定手段と、第１路面状態判定手段による判定後、車両の車両状態量を変更可能なアクチュエータを駆動させて、アクチュエータの駆動前に車両状態量検出部から供給された車両状態量と、アクチュエータの駆動後に車両状態量検出部から供給される車両状態量との偏差に対して、アクチュエータの駆動前と駆動後とにおける車両状態量の偏差の基準値を比較することによって、路面状態を判定する第２路面状態判定手段と、を備える。【選択図】図３
