Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier capable of safely exerting a function.SOLUTION: A freshness preserver is so configured that carrier materials 2 including palladium chloride (PdCl) are supported by a carrier 1, and each carrier material 2 includes palladium (Pd), alkali metal element, and chlorine (Cl) as constituent elements. In the carrier material 2, a composition ratio of the palladium is 0.001 mass%-0.1 mass%, a composition ratio of the alkali metal element is 0.004 mass%-20 mass%, and a composition ratio of the chlorine is 0.002 mass%-5 mass%.
